Still here…
Unemployment has skyrocketed. New York is so quiet. Everything is calm – but there is such a level of instability and uncertainty in the air – a bit eerie. My days are spent sometimes baking, talking to few friends outside a window, a bike ride here and there, exercising/movement of some sort, light reading, paining, connections with friends and loved ones through the internet – no hugs, no kisses…
What mortal freedoms we had outside the confines of our home -for now…for the moment…have ceased. To quote a friend, “People are going to be so weird after this.”
I woke up thinking about how nice it would be to get back to work. To get back to the old normal. I miss the buzz of NYC.
